There are On CALL openings for this location. This is a 24/7 facility so different shifts are available. Jobs are on-call (some weekends). It's a residential program for four developmentally disabled adults, located in Redding, CA.

This position is responsible for the direct supervision and support of each resident, including: implementation of needs and services plan; assistance with activities of daily living; preparing meals; and charting. We need motivated individuals who are interested in helping individuals with developmental disabilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be part of a multi-disciplinary team and assist in the evaluation, assessment, treatment and discharge planning for each resident.

Provide for the physical care, training, supervision and recreation of residents

Assist residents with habit training and hygiene

Maintain and upkeep the beds, clothing and living areas of the residents

Work with workshop staff and others to provide comprehensive program for the residents.

Assist and encourage the residents in developing self-reliance in activities of daily living

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of six months of prior experience providing direct supervision and special services to persons with developmental disabilities. Experience in person centered program development and implementation. Have an ability to think clearly and manage multiple changing priorities, while remaining pleasant and positive. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs., approximately.

Minimum Qualifications: Eighteen years of age or older.

Education: High School graduate. Successful completion of Direct Care Staff Competency Based Training and Testing Requirements as specified in Title 17, §56031-56035.

License Required: Possession of DOJ Clearance, child abuse index clearance, and TB clearance prior to provision of services.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid CA driver’s license in good standing with proof of current auto insurance. Ability to pass pre-employment background check, Med/TB clearance. Willing to work different shifts including NOC and Weekends
